Yesterday, the City of Flowood hosted the grand unveiling of its new bike path extension, providing a direct connection from hundreds of Flowood residences to the Hartfield Academy campus. This new recreational amenity offers Hartfield students a safe, dedicated pathway to walk or bike to school.

As part of Flowood’s ongoing commitment to improving recreational spaces, fostering community engagement, and providing increased opportunities for health and wellness, residents can enjoy an expanded trail system stretching from neighborhoods along Hugh Ward to the Flowood Family YMCA. While Flowood’s latest bike path extension is just under a quarter mile, it connects a vital community destination to the trail network, creating more opportunities for outdoor activity and connectivity for years to come.
